Examining Emotions without Judgement

Examining Emotions without Judgement
In this blog post, we explore the power of noticing and examining our emotions without judgment. By paying attention to how we feel and acknowledging our emotions as fleeting, we can move from stress and anxiety to joy and calm. All emotions, whether positive or negative, are temporary and do not define who we are as individuals. By observing our emotions as if we were scientists conducting experiments, we can gain a better understanding of why we feel a certain way without attaching any stories or criticism. This practice can profoundly impact our ability to handle stress, anxiety, and panic by recognizing that emotions change, but our essence remains constant.
In this blog post, the author discusses the importance of noticing and examining our emotions without judgment. They explain that emotions are not who we are, but rather fleeting feelings that come and go. By acknowledging and sitting with our emotions without adding stories or criticism, we can regain control and better understand ourselves. The author suggests an experiment where we observe our emotions like a scientist, asking ourselves why we are feeling a particular emotion in a given moment. They emphasize that all emotions are valid and personal, and they do not change our essence as individuals. By becoming observers of our emotions, we can navigate stress, anxiety, and panic more effectively.

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT’S REALLY IN YOUR CBD PRODUCT?

HOW DO YOU KNOW WHAT’S REALLY IN YOUR CBD PRODUCT?
Discovering the true contents of CBD products can be challenging in an industry lacking regulations. With CBD being added to everything from oils to lotions, it's important to know how to choose the right product. First, look for a company that utilizes third-party testing and makes the results available to consumers. The lab report should provide information on the cannabinoid content. Understanding the different types of products, such as isolates, broad spectrum, and full spectrum, can help determine which one is right for you. Additionally, checking for the absence of pesticides, molds, heavy metals, and solvents in the lab results ensures a safe and high-quality experience.
In a blog post titled "How to Read a Lab Report for CBD Lotions, Oils and Tinctures," the author emphasizes the importance of understanding lab reports when choosing CBD products. With the CBD industry lacking regulations, it's crucial to find reputable companies that conduct third-party testing. Lab reports provide valuable information on CBD and THC content, allowing consumers to make informed decisions.

The first step in evaluating a lab report is to check the amount of CBD in the product, as higher potency indicates a more potent product. The next consideration is the level of THC, which should not exceed 0.03%. Additionally, consumers should be aware of the three types of CBD products: isolates, broad-spectrum CBD, and full-spectrum CBD. Isolates only contain CBD, while broad-spectrum products include minor cannabinoids and no THC. Full-spectrum CBD contains CBD, THC, minor cannabinoids, terpenes, and flavonoids, offering potential therapeutic benefits through the entourage effect.

Lab reports also provide information on the presence of terpenes, as well as the absence of pesticides, fungi, molds, heavy metals, and solvents. By understanding these aspects of lab reports, consumers can navigate the CBD market more confidently. Cannabinoids for your Pet

Cannabinoids for your Pet
In this blog post, we explore the importance of choosing the right CBD product for your pets. CBD has natural health and wellness properties that can help alleviate various ailments in pets, such as pain, inflammation, seizures, and anxiety. However, it is crucial to understand the risks and safety concerns associated with CBD for pets.

The veterinary community is divided on the safety and effectiveness of CBD for pets, as more research is needed in this field. There are potential risks such as drug interactions, THC contamination, and possible side effects. It is important to start with a low dose and monitor your pet's response to ensure positive effects and minimize any potential negatives.

When buying CBD for your pet, do thorough research and look for products made from hemp grown in the United States, as it signifies better quality control. Third-party testing and a seal from the National Animal Supplement Council also add credibility to the product. Additionally, avoid giving your pet CBD products meant for humans, as some ingredients may be toxic for animals.

While it is recommended to consult with your vet before giving CBD to your pet, it can greatly improve their quality of life when used correctly. Consider the specific needs of your furry friend and make an informed decision about whether CBD is the right fit for them.

Meet Jackie Potter

Meet Jackie Potter

Owner & Founder, JPotter Health
Hi, I'm Jackie Potter.
I've spent my life asking questions, searching for answers, and trying to understand why we think, feel, and respond the way we do.
My background is in biology and chemistry research, where I developed a deep appreciation for science and evidence-based problem solving. But my greatest education came through my own experience.
I've lived with anxiety for most of my life.
Like many people, I learned to function through it. But when I became a parent and began seeing the same struggles in my son, I realized I wanted more than coping strategies. I wanted to understand what was happening in the brain and body, and more importantly, how people can create lasting change.
That journey led me into the world of professional coaching.
Today, I'm an ICF-Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation and a Certified NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) Coach. I've completed nearly 20 professional certifications in coaching, communication, neuroscience, behavior change, stress regulation, and emotional wellness.
Those certifications aren't just credentials on a wall. They represent years of studying how people create meaningful, lasting transformation.
My coaching combines evidence-based practices with practical tools that help clients move beyond simply managing stress and anxiety. Together, we work to understand patterns, build emotional resilience, improve self-awareness, strengthen confidence, and create sustainable habits that support the life they want to live.
I believe every person already has the capacity for change. Sometimes we simply need someone who can ask the right questions, provide the right tools, and help us see possibilities we couldn't see on our own.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, chronic stress, overwhelm, major life transitions, or simply feeling stuck, my goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can gain clarity, reconnect with your strengths, and move forward with confidence.

Supporting People... and the Pets They Love

My passion for helping others naturally expanded to include another important member of the family: our pets.
Many of the same principles that affect human well-being also influence our animals. Stress, fear, environmental changes, aging, and nervous system regulation all play important roles in a pet's quality of life.
Over the years, I've completed advanced education in cannabinoids, the Endocannabinoid System (ECS), and pet wellness. This allows me to help pet owners better understand the science behind behavioral support while making informed decisions about cannabinoid-based wellness products.
Rather than focusing only on the pet, I work with both the pet and the owner.
Together, we look at lifestyle, environment, daily routines, stress triggers, and appropriate wellness strategies to help create a calmer, healthier relationship for everyone involved. My goal isn't simply to recommend a product. It's to educate, support, and help families understand why certain approaches work so they can make confident decisions for their pets.
Whether I'm coaching a person through life's challenges or helping a family support an anxious dog, the mission remains the same:
To use science, education, and compassionate coaching to help create healthier, calmer lives.

Let's Build Something Better Together.

If you're ready to take the next step for yourself or for your pet I'd love to help.
Let's Chat.
