Anxiety and Overwhelm

Can you Relate?

  • Riley, 35 – Can’t Start Tasks: I’m Riley, 35: I know exactly what I need to do, but I can’t get myself to start. It’s like my brain freezes. For example, I’ve put off scheduling a doctor’s appointment for months. I want to stop wasting energy beating myself up for not moving and actually feel like I can get going.
  • Fiona, 29 – Loses Momentum: I’m Fiona, 29: I start new routines strong, then fall off a cliff. No matter what it is, cooking healthy, working out, even reading regularly I don’t know why I lose steam so fast. I want to build habits that stick.
  • Chris, 42 – ADHD-Style Overwhelm: I’m Chris, 42: My brain jumps between thoughts constantly. I get stuck getting started and I have trouble staying on track, and it’s affecting my life.
  • Valerie, 50 – Catastrophizing: I’m Valerie, 50. My brain always jumps to the worst-case scenario. It’s exhausting, and I want to interrupt that pattern. I just want some quiet in my head instead of constant “what ifs.”
  • Evan, 27 – Chronic Procrastination: My name is Evan, 27. I procrastinate until things become emergencies. I don’t want to live like this anymore.
  • Grace, 39 – Difficulty Setting Boundaries: I’m Grace, 39. I keep saying yes to avoid tension, even when I'm overwhelmed. I want to make choices that respect my limits without feeling guilty or selfish. I’m ready to stop stretching myself thinner just to keep the peace, but I don’t know how.
  • Becca, 33 – Moving Through Change: I’m Becca, 33. Even small changes throw me off, new routines, new jobs, new schedules. My anxiety spikes every time life shifts. I want to not be so afraid of changes.
  • Camille, 25 – Fear of Disappointing Others: I’m Camille, 25. I make choices based on what will keep everyone happy, not what’s right for me. I want confidence in my own voice. I’m tired of feeling like my decisions belong to everyone but me
  • Steven, 47 – Caregiver Stress During Medical Crisis: I’m Steven, 47. My family is going through a medical crisis, and I feel like I have to stay strong for everyone. Inside, I’m overloaded. How can I live with all this uncertainty?
  • Trevor, 46 – Stuck Between Roles: My name is Trevor, I’m 46. I’m trying to be a good son and a good dad, but I feel like I’m failing both. When I’m with my parents, I worry about my kids, and when I’m with my kids, I’m worrying about my parents. I want to  learn how to balance my roles without feeling constantly torn.
  • Dana, 42 – Middle-of-the-Night Stress Spirals: I’m Dana, 42, and most nights I wake up around 2 or 3 a.m. with my mind racing. I can fall asleep, but I can’t stay asleep. The quiet makes my thoughts louder, and I lie there replaying the day or imagining everything that could go wrong tomorrow. I’m exhausted and want my nights back.
  • Alex, 39 – Health Anxiety Loop: My name is Alex, I’m 39, and every time I feel a new sensation in my body — a tight chest, a weird heartbeat, a headache — my mind goes straight to the worst-case scenario. I search for reassurance but nothing really helps. I want to understand what my body is doing without assuming the worst every time.
  • Paige, 34 – Perfectionism That’s Burning Me Out: I’m Paige, 34. People say I have high standards, but it feels more like pressure than pride. If I’m not doing something perfectly, I don’t want to do it at all. I redo small tasks until I’m drained, and I still feel like it’s not enough. I want to stop being so hard on myself.
  • Jordan, 45 – Financial Stress Taking Over: I’m Jordan, 45, and even when the numbers look okay on paper, my stress around money feels relentless. Every unexpected expense sends me into panic mode. I want to feel steady and in control instead of constantly bracing for financial disaster.
  • Elise, 40 – Co-Parenting Communication Stress: My name is Elise, I’m 40, and co-parenting after divorce has my stress at an all-time high. Every conversation feels tense, and even small disagreements turn into big emotional reactions. I want tools to communicate clearly without getting pulled into old patterns.

If any of this resonates with you, you're not alone—and you're in the right place. At JPotter Health, we’ve supported individuals just like you in finding clarity, building resilience, and feeling better in their day-to-day lives. Ready to take the next step? Let’s explore what working together could look like.
The JPotter Health Approach

I’m Jackie Potter, founder of JPotter Health, an ICF-certified coach and NLP coach who helps people manage stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and the emotional tension that builds when life asks too much for too long.
My approach blends science-backed coaching methods with a very human understanding of how stress actually shows up in real life. We don’t dig for problems or labels. We work with patterns; how your thoughts, body, and nervous system respond and learn how to shift them in ways that feel doable and supportive.

This work is personal to me. I’ve lived with anxiety for much of my life, and that experience informs how I show up as a coach: grounded, calm, and respectful of where you are. Clients often tell me they feel understood without having to over-explain.

My goal is simple: to help you feel more steady, more clear, and more like yourself again—one step at a time.

Are you ready?
You don’t have to feel confident, clear, or “put together” to begin. Readiness doesn’t mean having all the answers, it simply means noticing that something isn’t working the way it used to, and being open to a different experience. If stress, anxiety, or emotional tension have become your background noise, and you’re ready to understand what’s happening beneath the surface without judgment or pressure, this work may be a good fit. Coaching with me is a collaborative, confidential space to slow things down, build awareness, and create steadier ways of responding to life; at your pace, in your own way.

How I help

You Don’t Have to Do This Alone

If stress, anxiety, or overwhelm have become part of your everyday life, you’re not imagining it and you’re not alone. When your nervous system is under constant pressure, it affects how you think, how you feel, and how you move through your days. I know this personally, and it’s why I do this work.

Coaching with me is a supportive, confidential space to slow things down and understand what’s actually happening beneath the stress. Using evidence-based coaching and nervous-system-informed tools, we work with your thoughts, your body, and your patterns; not to fix you, but to help you feel more steady and in control again.

Together, we build practical tools you can use in real life so you can breathe easier, think more clearly, and show up with greater confidence, one step at a time.
